October 4, 2019 – Recognize your limits, discover your possibilities, realize your dreams; also with diabetes.
Diabest is an organization founded by people with (and experience with) diabetes. Every year, they organize an expedition for a group of 15 persons maximum that will take the challenge. Each person brings its own motivation, dreams or physical problems during the hike tour.
Having diabetes often means that it is difficult to explore your limits without the right support. Therefore, each expedition is set up with an extensive preparation program supported by a solid team of specialists, from doctor to tour guide. Together, they go on an adventure, a tour, that physically and mentally demands a great deal of your perseverance and determination.
As in 2016, Diabest has chosen to fund Inreda Diabetic with this year’s tour. The aim is to make the minimizing of the Inreda AP possible. 1 September last, the group started their tour on the South West Coast path of England. The trail follows the rough coast of the ocean. The hikers walked during 6 days about 20 km per day on passable but uneven paths. Robin Koops himself joined the group during the first part of the tour, while wearing and using the Inreda AP (which he uses continuously for 8 months now!).
